So... I said that this was going to be about small changes over the course of the year so I will have "won"!!! I am on week 3 of my exercise program and can already notice a as light change in my alignment and my diastasis recti- used to be almost 4 fingers wide and is now down to a little bigger than 2. In 2 weeks, I'm impressed and excited. If I would cut my sugar, I'd probably notice things a little quicker (baby steps 😉)
What I have done consciously has been to add a vitamin d supplement to my diet and severely cut down on my alcohol and caffeine consumption. Alcohol was not a problem, caffeine (coffee) was a little bit but I had to do cold turkey if I was going to take the plunge. I substituted a caffeine free detox tea from Arbonne.com. I love their products and use almost everything. They are pure, safe and beneficial so I know it's truly healthy.
The vitamin d supplement was at the recommendation of my gyno. I find myself mid cycle with crazy mood swings and anxiety and just "mean". I can clearly see when it passes so I know it's temporary but no one wants to be around me and my kids get the brunt of it. It's only been a couple of weeks so I can't say one way or another but I know it's good for me, so I am going to keep it up.
